| Tugun SLSC began patrols on Tugun Beach in 1925. The Club was founded by Harry O'Callaghan and various members of different Australian Rules Football Clubs. In those days, the surf Club was merely a group of tents at the rear of the Tugun Hotel.
On 18th February 1934, the grand opening of the clubhouse was held. On 15th November 1964, the clubhouse was destroyed by fire, but true to the Tugun spirit, a new one was erected 18 months later through sheer hard work and determination of the club members.
Tugun SLSC is a fantastic place to enjoy a meal or drink away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life with magnificent views as far as the eye can see.
