Welcome to a great summer of fun in the sun and surf at Tugun Nippers! We thank you all for your excitement and interest in finding out why
“It’s a Ripper to be a Tugun Nipper”.
Nippers involves the whole family. If you’ve never been a part of Nippers before, don’t worry, there’s nothing to be afraid of. We welcome you and the existing members into one big happy family.
To the mum’ s, dad’ s and carer’s who have joined up as associate members, a big thank you.
Your membership entitles you too many privileges in the Club, its surf lifesaving skills courses, Club facilities and the Supporters Club.
We encourage you to undertake courses, especially the surf rescue certificate, so you can assist with water Safety or a bronze medallion where you will become a fully-fledged active member and a surf lifesaver. This helps us maintain water safety numbers on the beach, which allows us to continue on with our Junior Activities each week. However if you don’t want to get wet, why not become an official or even an age manager.
To the loyal members who have returned again this year, we sincerely thank you, and are very excited to see your continued dedication and enthusiasm with the Club. What can be better than seeing families together on a Sunday morning, having fun on the beach while learning skills, which not only give us all an appreciation and understanding of our wonderful beach-side environment and ocean, but can maybe one day also save a life, or prevent a drowning?
The Committee’s role can sometimes be a difficult one, as we have to ensure we not only meet your expectations, but those of the other members and parents and our Club’s requirements. With this in mind, please remember, we will always welcome your ideas and concerns and try to address them with a fair outcome for all parties.
